The field is level and cleared, with the tree line behind it, so your backdrop is forest. The deck runs the back of the lodge, and the kitchen opens onto it. Between them you have a ceremony site and a place to feed everyone.
This works best as a wedding weekend, not a wedding day. Your party sleeps in the lodge, and the property holds far more people through the day than it sleeps at night. You get Friday to Sunday instead of six rented hours.

What you have to work with
The field is level and cleared. The tree line stands behind it, so your backdrop is forest instead of a parking lot or a neighbouring house. It is the ceremony site.
The deck runs the back of the lodge and covers about 750 square feet. Half of it is roofed, which matters in July and August, when a short storm arrives most afternoons. It is lit, and it has power along it. The kitchen opens straight onto it.
The lodge itself is open to your party through the whole weekend. That is six bedrooms, six bathrooms, the family room, the long dining table, the movie theater, and the game room.
Plan a weekend, not a six-hour window
A venue rents you a window. You arrive, you set up against the clock, and you are out by 11. Here you book the property, so the day expands to fit.
Your party sleeps in the lodge on Friday. You set up on Saturday morning without anyone waiting on you. People stay after the reception ends, because they are already home. On Sunday you have breakfast together before anyone drives.
The property also holds many more people through the day than the lodge sleeps at night. Beds are the limit here. Space is not.
Getting ready
Madison’s Room is the largest bedroom, on the main floor. It has a walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom with a freestanding tub.
Nora’s Room is a studio over the garage with its own entrance from the back deck. There is no interior door into the lodge. Two parties can get ready at the same time without meeting on the stairs.
Elopements
An elopement is the simplest version of all of this. Two of you, or 10 of you, the field, and a weekend in the lodge afterwards.
Tell us the date and roughly what you want the day to look like. There is less to plan, so there is less for us to work out with you.
Vendors, catering, and rentals
You bring your own vendors. We do not sell a package and we do not take a cut of one.
We can tell you who works in this area. Happy Jack is 45 minutes from the nearest town in either direction. That is a real constraint on catering and on rentals. It is worth knowing before you book anyone.
Ask us about tables, chairs, and heaters as well. Some of that is on the add-ons page, and some of it we can arrange.

What is still being built.
The lodge opens in August 2026. These are not here yet. Ask us where each one stands for your date rather than assume it is ready.

- Under construction now. A level, hard-surfaced area close to the lodge and the deck, so a guest who cannot manage gravel can be dropped at the door.
- A dedicated ceremony area
- Planned. Until it is built, the field is the ceremony site and it works. Ask us where the new area will sit if you are booking a long way ahead.
How to book
Talk to us directly, not through Airbnb or Vrbo.
Book an ordinary stay on whichever platform you like. An event is different. Airbnb and Vrbo are built to sell nights, and their rules limit what we can plan with you inside a booking. We cannot coordinate an event through a platform message thread.
So email us instead. We answer vendor questions, catering questions, and equipment rental questions ourselves, and we can tell you who we already work with locally. None of that fits in a booking request.
Do this early. Groups that write to us a year out get the date they want and a plan that fits the property. Groups that ask three weeks out get whatever is left.

Is the ceremony site accessible?
Partly, today. The main floor of the lodge has a bedroom and a bathroom with no stairs, and the deck is reached from inside. The field is level but the ground between is gravel and dirt. Accessible parking is under construction now. Tell us what you need and we will tell you honestly what works for your date.
How far is the venue from Flagstaff and Phoenix?
Flagstaff is about 45 minutes north on Lake Mary Road. Payson is about 45 minutes south on AZ-87. Phoenix is about 2.5 hours. Guests need a car — there is no rideshare and no transit up here, so plan how people get back after the reception.
